Welcome to my Buffy shrine :)

This is my favorite show of all time. Buffy The Vampire Slayer is about a girl named Buffy who is a Slayer- a girl with supernatural powers such as strength and speed who are destined to fight evil. Only one Slayer is active at a time, and a new one is called whenever the previous one dies. Buffy moves to a town called Sunnydale, which turns out to be on top of a Hellmouth, which is like a demon hotspot essentially. She, her friends Willow and Xander (among others) and her Watcher, Giles, band together to fight the forces of darkness while navigating their own complex lives. There's more to this show than meets the eye, though. BTVS is a trailblazer for television as we know it, much like Star Trek or The X-Files. The show created and subverted many tropes we see today, in fact, the TV Tropes website started from Buffy fans trying to categorize the tropes used on the show. BTVS has a lasting cultural impact and I wanted to celebrate it by giving it a slice of my corner of the 'net :)

SPOILERS AHEAD!

3- Best season in all of television, loved the mayor, loved Buffy and Faith's dynamic (they should've gotten together). Dead Man's Party did make me a bit angry, but in the Scoobies defense, they didn't see what Buffy went through like we did, they just knew that their best friend and the only person who could keep the vamps at bay here ran away and they had to fend for themselves. Bad Girls is my all time favorite episode, shoutout to Curve. Band Candy was hilarious and a comfort episode of mine. Doppelgangland was cool and I loved seeing vampire Willow interact with our Scoobies. Graduation Day pt 2 is one of my favorite series finales in the show for sure.

5- OMG SHE HAS A SISTER :D Dawn was a great addition to the show. Glory was one of my favorite big bads, but I didn't care for Ben, I feel like they could've done a bit more with him. Tara sacrificing her sanity to protect her friends was so sweet and Buffy's sacrifice was incredibly beautiful and powerful. Definitely my all-time favorite season finale. The Body is one of my favorite episodes and I cried like a baby the entire time.

2- Spike/Drusilla/Angelus were an absolute treat and SMG's acting is so good she almost made me care about Bangel when she killed him. ALMOST. Ted is a hard watch for me, but very cathartic. Halloween is a classic episode and super fun. I miss Jenny and Kendra, they both deserved better.

6- Good season, but it’s very depressing and incredibly hard to get through. I had to take a couple of breaks when I watched it. Lots of fun and iconic eps (OMWF, Tabula Rasa, Smashed). Didn't care for the trio, but the character arcs felt very well written. Tara deserved way more screen time and development, much like Jenny and Kendra I feel like she died before we truly got to know her and see more sides of her despite her being there since season 4. Seeing Red is a skip for me, for obvious reasons. Normal Again freaked me out and the only conclusion I can come up with that doesn’t piss me off is that they were two separate dimensions/realities and Buffy was just stuck between them. I'm not a Xander fan, but I have to admit his speech to Dark Willow made me actually like him a bit.

1- Campy fun, a bit 90210 with Vampires at the start. I loveeee Jenny. The only reason why this season is so low is because I just prefer 2 3 5 and 6 over it, but trust me I adore this season.

4- Didn't care about The Initiative or Riley or Adam or the Oz/Veruca situation. There were quite a few good eps in there of course (Hush, This Year's Girl, Who Are You, Something Blue) and it's cool seeing the catalyst for Faith's redemption arc in Angel. I ADORE Tara, she's such a sweetiepie and had great chemistry with Willow. Beer Bad and Where The Wild Things Are are part of the few eps on my skip list.

7- Yeah, this one is last for a reason. The First and the Potentials had so much... well, potential, but it fell flat due to the poor writing. Lotta chaos and it felt very rushed. Honestly, Kennedy isn't that bad honestly, I just think I would've liked her more if she wasn't with Willow and got fleshed out a bit more. The whole season was too chaotic with a lot of ooc moments, too many characters in general, and too many things getting shoehorned in, it felt like everyone running around like headless chickens until they got the scythe and the medallion thingy out of nowhere. How convenient. Nice to see Faith back though, she's kind of the only part of the season I enjoyed... I still cried at the finale, of course. RIP Anya you absolute diva.
